Don’t bring a knife to a gunfight, so the saying goes. With the Stereo Hybrid 140 HPC Race 750’s fourth-generation Bosch power, sophisticated carbon main frame and reliable, trail-oriented components you’ll be ready for anything. Any mountain, any trail, any time. Bring it on.
Big days out demand a reliable frame and components. That’s why, for CUBE Stereo Hybrid 140 HPC Race 750, the starting point was a RockShox 35 Silver Air fork and matching Deluxe Select+ shock plugged into a carbon main frame. Combined with tenaciously grippy Schwalbe 2.6in tyres, new Sram DB8 four-piston hydraulic brake calipers with mineral oil, and a remote dropper post, they’re what you need to tackle anything the trail throws your way with complete confidence. Add fourth-generation Bosch CX power with Shimano’s super-reliable XT 1×12 gears, and you’ve got the complete package to make light of any mountain trail.
Frame size S (16″) comes with 27.5″ wheels, sizes M (18″), L (20″) and XL (22″) are 29ers.
FRAME Cube Stereo Hybrid 140 HPC Race 750
Evolution never stops. That’s why, across all frames in CUBE’s SizeSplit system, the Stereo Hybrid 140 HPC now features the ability to house up to a 750Wh battery under its dust- and splash-proof cover. It means you can power the fourth-generation Bosch CX drive unit – with 85Nm of hill-devouring torque – on long rides, whatever frame size fits you best. The Boost 148 rear axle, large pivot bearings and All Mountain Geometry deliver assured handling, even when you’re exploring the limits of the 140mm rear and 150mm front travel. Sram’s UDH gear hanger helps protect against crash damage and is easily replaceable. And Integrated Cable Routing reduces maintenance and complements the clean lines of the full carbon main frame.
Technologies
Boost 148
A wider hub makes a stiffer wheel, and a stiffer wheel means better handling. That’s the thinking behind the Boost 148 rear hub standard, which allows wider flange spacing for better wheel performance without impacting on shifting accuracy or drivetrain efficiency. Simply put, you can go faster and harder with better handling and stronger wheels.
Universal Derailleur Hanger
One standard for all: gear hanger replacement made easy thanks to the innovative Universal Derailleur Hanger. With a design that includes some room for pivoting to help prevent chain jams, it improves shifting performance and works with all drivetrains. Best of all, it’s a standard part that is available anywhere.
Full Integrated Battery
The Full Integrated Battery system tucks the power of Bosch’s battery out of sight, safely inside the confines of your bike’s downtube. Hidden beneath a splash and dust-proof cover and secured with a lock to prevent theft, it allows us to design beautiful e-bike frames that are as brilliantly functional as they are good to look at.
Efficient Trail Control
CUBE’s Efficient Trail Control series works in the background so that everyone can have more fun on the trail. A low leverage ratio and linear compression rate are the technical way of saying that these bikes are very sensitive to trail obstacles, whilst remaining insensitive to pedal-induced bob and giving a full range of travel.
Advanced Twin Mold
CUBE’s Advanced Twin Mold process for the C:62®, C:68® and C:68X® carbon frames uses two precisely manufactured forms. The first form is to ensure an accurate layup. The second, inner form keeps every individual fibre precisely where it needs to be while the frame cures. The result is a significantly lighter, stronger frame, with fibre density tailored to anticipated loadings at specific points.
Modular Battery System
In many ways the battery is the heart of an e-bike. That’s why, with CUBE’s Modular Battery System, they’ve made a setup that’s easy to use. You can charge the battery on or off the bike, and they’ve made room for even high capacity batteries. You’ll wonder how you ever managed without it.
SizeSplit
The right bike should fit you perfectly. That’s why CUBE has created SizeSplit: To be able to offer frames with the optimal fit and at the same time agile and reliable handling, CUBE uses 27.5 inch wheels for shorter riders. And, for taller riders, CUBE has built a range of sizes around the fast-rolling 29er wheel standard. Whichever one you choose, you can be sure of a fit that makes your bike feel as though it was built just for you.
Agile Trail Geometry
Agile Trail Geometry is a development of CUBE’s popular and well received Agile Ride Geometry, with a focus on riders who enjoy pushing their limits on the trails. By lowering standover height and allowing more room for the rider to move around over the bike, CUBE has created a setup that rewards adventurous line choices. Because, after all, it’s all about having fun.
Advanced Internal Cable Routing
Gear and brake cables need a way to get from handlebar controls to frame – but what if there was no need for holes near the head tube? CUBE has came up with a design that takes cables into the frame via the headset, maintaining full internal cable routing but making it even neater and less obtrusive.
